And life, like everything affective, has roots in the subconscious, perhaps in the unconscious, and the father’s response (2011)

Mixed media28.5 x 21.5 x 2.5 cm

A conversation with my father starting from a scrapbook and leading to actions and works.

The work began as a scrapbook combining texts and objects, in response to my dreams in which my father appeared. Somehow, the dreams always involved death. Each open page contains a small object made by me based on my impression of the dream and my writing of what my father emails, explaining what he would have said to me in my dream. The result is a book of dreams filtered through a conjoint interpretation in text and object.
